I am extremely proud to present to you, Our very own David Herrera and Monica Flores!!
The team will be coming to MY Salsa Dance Studio on March 6th 2010 to teach two great workshops!!
You’ve seen them on television performances, shows, commercials, competitions or maybe even on the “Big Screen!” Don’t miss your chance to meet and be taught by Internationally known, Monica Flores and David Herrera!!
David is a Los Angeles native who has danced since he was a kid. Having traveled extensively , he has performed for a variety of audiences, including government leaders. He has been interviewed by major networks such as The New York Times. David has performed on national television and was picked for the Texas dancing with the stars on Ch 8 ” Good Morning Texas” in 2007 and has performed in many competitions winning some and placing remarkably high in others. Most recently, David has been recognized as the 3rd top teacher at 2008 at the 14th annual New Orléans Bourbon street ball, a competition that brings studios, teachers and students from around the country.

David has now teamed up with Former salsa dance champion with Monica Flores from Los Angeles.
Monica, a native Texan, began her training in ballet, jazz and flamenco at the age of eight. After graduating high school she moved to Philadelphia to study dance at the University of the Arts. Soon after, she moved to Chicago to complete scholarships at the Gus Giordano and Hubbard Street dance companies. Grounded in ballet and jazz, she is also versed in ballroom, salsa, and tango.
Since moving to Los Angeles she has appeared in numerous T.V. shows, commercials and live shows including Alias, Lollapalloza, Paris by Night and Dr. Phil. She has won several salsa contests and has traveled extensively worldwide as a teacher and performer. Recently, she assisted Fatima Robinson on the new Miami Vice film starring Colin Farrell and was cast for a second time in Cola-cola’s Fanta campaign as “Sophia”.

1st workshop will begin at 7pm.
David will teach Men’s Footwork/Los Angeles style/ afro cuban -Styling and Monica will teach Ladies LA style Styling/Shines..
The 2nd workshop will begin at 8pm.
This will be a beautiful combination that the team has prepared..
Understand: YOU DO NOT NEED A PARTNER!! David and Monica will show interest in each individual student!
After the workshops, There will be socializing, refreshments and dancing for the remainder of the evening!
